The Blueprint, in depth

Four intelligences.
One roadmap you can act on.

The Blueprint applies QUAD directly — no product-specific layer sits on top of it the way PRISM sits on top of QUAD for Idea Validation. This page goes one level deeper than the shared methodology hub: how the four reports become one Core Truth, how it gets stress-tested, and how that becomes a 90-Day Action Roadmap.

Step one

Four reports, independently sourced

Every Blueprint opens with four intelligence reports, each researched independently so no single flattering data point can carry the whole synthesis:

MarketTAM/SAM/SOM, growth, timing — traced to registries and named market data.
AudienceBuyer archetypes and demand signals, independent of your own framing.
CompetitivePositioning gaps and displacement risk from filings and live product data.
TrendWhether the tailwind is structural or already decaying, including an AI Visibility Check.

Step two

Synthesis into one signed Core Truth

The four reports converge into a single written paragraph — the Core Truth — naming the most important finding across all four, tagged with a confidence grade (High / Medium / Low) per claim, and cited throughout. Where the four intelligences disagree — a real market with an audience that isn't ready to switch, for instance — the Core Truth states that tension explicitly rather than blending it into a meaningless composite score. A named human analyst reviews the complete synthesis, tests the reasoning, and signs it before it ships. If they won't sign it, it doesn't ship.

Step three

One Refiner stress test

Every Blueprint includes one Refiner Stress Test — a named mental model applied to pressure-test the Core Truth after it's synthesised, not a generic "sanity check." Which Refiner is applied depends on what the Core Truth actually needs tested (a claim of no competition gets Red Team; a plan built on one big assumption gets Inversion) — six are available:

Inversion Surfaces hidden assumptions by examining how the strategy could fail first.
First Principles Rebuilds the argument from verified facts only, stripping out inherited convention.
Pre-Mortem Tests the plan against its most likely failure modes before you commit.
Red Team Builds the strongest possible case against each major claim.
Second-Order Maps downstream effects on customers, competitors, and regulators if the strategy works.
SCAMPER A structured creative lens that surfaces non-obvious improvements.

Additional Refiners beyond the included one can be run individually — see the pricing page for how that's scoped.

Step four

Adversarial persona and scenario testing

Before the Core Truth ships, it's tested against 10 adversarial personas (skeptical framings designed to find what breaks the recommendation) and 10 investor/strategist personas (framings that mirror how a board or an investor would actually interrogate the finding). This is a conceptual pressure test, not a cosmetic one — a Core Truth that survives all 20 personas unscathed is rare, and the surviving caveats are what get carried into the final roadmap.

Step five

The 90-Day Action Roadmap

The final deliverable isn't a slide deck of findings — it's a prioritised, time-boxed roadmap answering "what do we do about this, starting Monday." Findings that don't translate into a specific next action don't make the roadmap; this is the step Vol I's own review flagged as the difference between "useful" and "essential" — see the sample Blueprint report for a full worked example of a Core Truth and its downstream recommendations.

What we don't publish, and why

Enough to trust it, not enough to game it

We don't publish the exact composition of the 10 adversarial and 10 investor/strategist personas, the scoring weights used to prioritise roadmap items, the prompt chains that generate each report, the heuristics used to select which Refiner runs by default, or the construction of the internal population used for broader scenario modelling. What we do publish — the four intelligences, the Core Truth synthesis logic, all six named Refiners, and the fact that every output is human-signed — is everything you need to evaluate whether a given Blueprint is rigorous.
